Sudan Makes Headway in Health Field by Entering Malaria Eradication Stage (1-2)

Wad-Medani/Gezira -- Sudan has made great progress in the field of health, which was commended by its partners from international organizations operating in the same field. The organizations hailed Sudan’s efforts to war on malaria, a programme which has entered the stage of eradication in the states of Khartoum, Gezira, Northern, River Nile and the Red Sea. However, this success – as we cited in our earlier reports – is faced with tremendous challenges, which were addressed during the 28th conference on malaria held in central Sudan’s state of Gezira, which coincided with the World Malaria Day.
Strategies of eradication phase
