Khartoum - The Ministry of Petroleum and Gas and West Kordofan State have agreed on mapping out social development plans in a balanced manner in accordance with the
needs of the inhabitants and their priorities in a manner that contributes to their stability and realizes social justice.
Minister of Petroleum and Gas Dr. Abdul-Rahman Osman said the social services in the oil producing states have included vital projects, such as water, education, health, roads, electricity and construction of model villages, stressing importance of close coordination for making use of the services.
He pointed out that the social services program has started since the beginning of the project of the Sudanese oil production and covered the biggest sector in the oil producing states, contributing to the improvement of the life of the people in these areas.
Governor of West Kordofan State Abulgassim Baraka, on his part, lauded the role of social services implemented by the Ministry of Petroleum and Gas and the oil companies in the social stability of the citizens of the state.
He called for coordination in implementing projects according the priorities of the state and the citizens.
