Reference Guide for Law Enforcers to Guarantee Children Protection from Violence

Khartoum - The Secretary General of the National Council for Child Welfare (NCCW), Suad Abdelal, has stressed the importance of the existence of a legal framework for protecting the children from risks that they may face.
The NCCW Secretary General was addressing yesterday a training workshop on reference guide for law enforcers on violence against children, with the participation of judges, heads of attorney offices, police officers, lawyers and media persons.
She said the mechanisms for law enforcement pertinent to children have been set up as represented in police, attorney office and courts, that are government by the Children Protection Act.
Director of Judicial and Legal Sciences Institute Susan Saeed Shandi, on her part, pointed out that the guide constitutes a legal manual for the legal provisions and procedures that assist in providing guarantees of children protection in accordance with the regional and international criteria and national legislations.
