Governor Hamad Urges Directing International Community Efforts towards Peace and Development

Khartoum- Governor of Blue Nile State Hussein Yassin Hamad has received at his office in Damazin visiting UN Independent Expert on Human Rights Aristide Nononsi and briefed him on the challenges that face the government of the state in the field of the humanitarian situations of the returnees and displaced persons.
The governor also stressed during the meeting the importance of directing the efforts of the international community to supporting peace, stability and development in the state, reviewing the achievements that have been realized regarding boosting peace and security in the state.
Yassin reaffirmed commitment of his government and that of all organs to the cease-fire declared by the President of the Republic, saying that the SPLM-N movement is not serious towards realization of peace, which is proved by the rejection of the movement to carrying out children immunization program at the rebel held areas. He also referred to the repeated aggressions committed by SPLM-N movement against farmers and the humanitarian aid workers.
The Governor affirmed support of his government to the American proposal on delivery of humanitarian aid, which is consistent with the position of the government on the national level.
