Britain Calls on SPLM-N to Accept US Proposal on Delivery of Humanitarian Aid

Khartoum - The British Ambassador to Sudan, Michael Aaron, has called on SPLM-North to accept the American proposal

for delivery of humanitarian aid to the affected people in the two areas, as he affirmed that the Doha document and the African roadmap, which was signed in Ethiopia, are considered as the best means for realizing peace in the country.
The British Ambassador said in a statement to SMC that the United Kingdom support the efforts of the African mediation, which is led by Thabo Mbeki, for realizing security and stability in the two areas and Darfur.
He pointed out that the government and the international community wants peace for the people of Sudan, urging the Sudanese parties for making more progress in the negotiations dossier.
Ambassador Aaron expected that the armed movements would join the national dialogue process as they want peace, noting that they are optimistic about what the government had said about the holdouts that the dialogue and the national document are open for whoever wants to join the peace process in the country.
