Sudan and China Renew Keenness to Cement Commercial Ties

Khartoum-Sudan and China renewed resolve to consolidate trade relations next year to be an example for mutual cooperation

This came when Minister of Trade, Hatim Al-Sir met, Saturday, with Ambassador of China to Khartoum, Li Lyan , and discussed economic and trade dossiers between the two countries and implementation of previous deals.
The Chinese Ambassador conveyed to the Minister of Trade an invitation from his Chinese counterpart to take part in the first international fair for Chinese Imports, scheduled to be held in 2018 in Chinese city of Shanghai.
For his part, the Minister of Trade stressed that Sudan is open to the World and to studied integration in concerned international markets, disclosing that strategy of Government of National Accord calls for necessity of strengthening commercial ties and cooperation as well as boosting capacity building.
He said international forums avail opportunities to Sudan to contribute to boosting the international economy by its expertise and potentialities.
The Minister expressed Sudan readiness to partake in the exhibition by various exports, affirming competitiveness of Sudanese products.
Ambassador Lyan for his part, underlined his country keenness to expand scope of trade cooperation with Sudan and reactivate the joint Sudan -China committees.
The Chinese Ambassador expressed China welcome to revocation of sanctions against Sudan, indicating that it would open door for cementing economic, financial and trade relations between the two countries.
