Eid Al-Fitr Celebrations in Sudan

(Khabir Othman) - Eid Al-Fitr is considered the most important holiday celebrated by all Muslims in the world after the end of the holy month of Ramadan

. It is the best month of the year, where joy prevails all over the Islamic world. Eid   Al-Fitr is the last day before it is possible to pay "zakaat al-fitr" on Muslims. The joy of the Eid is shown in everyone's faces when it is clearly seen during the Eid prayer, where everyone and all members of the family gather to perform that prayer, which is after sunrise, mosques, and chapels are prepared to receive worshipers for the Eid Al-Fitr prayer, gifts and sweets given to young children.
Famous for the Republic of Sudan many kinds of distinctive desserts, as well as shared by States and other Arab communities of bread, cakes, etc., where the manufacture of large quantities of these sweets, dishes distinctive even honors the owner of the house visitors in this great occasion, and the beautiful habits.  In the period of Eid in Sudan, all the men of the same neighborhood came to a large proportion of the villages in the oldest man of the neighborhood, or in any place recognized in advance, each one of them bring breakfast, and then go to congratulate the patients who have the disease left disabled from enjoying the pleasures of the feast, and old age who can't move.
Hence, the Sudanese spend the first day of Eid in the exchange of greetings among neighbors, friends, and after they reach age, starting with family visits, and friends who live in distant neighborhoods. The children are happy with the games, as amusement parks, recreational cities and museums open their doors to entertainment for the citizens. The Sudanese also like to spend some time on the banks of the Nile River of the Sudanese people, as in some Arab countries.
