Editorial: 'Former President'

Al Bashir never conceals desire as being called, 'the former president'  by showing apparent disinterest to run for the forthcoming 2020

elections by spending the rest of life in the voluntary work.
Since the presidential elections of 2010 and 2015 respectively, such feelings of deserting politics dominates him holistically. But, because of pressure from everywhere hugely, especially by the ruling congress party (NCP), he succumbs unwillingly.
The insistence of NCP goes like this; that Al Bashir constitutes not only the good guarantor of cohesiveness of NCP, but the whole country as well. In addition, he  enjoys consensus at the partisan level and  nationally. And the security and political conditions that Sudan  has been passing through require a character like him who has had capabilities and skills unlimitedly;  militarily and politically which are much needed for completion of tasks that have already been begun. The national dialogue can be cited here illustratively. All expectations are there that it may hopefully reach much more positive and practical levels at his hands tangibly.
Anyhow, the remaining two years of 2020 elections  will determine  whether the president  will run for an additional term unwillingly or just be freed to fulfill personal dreams by being called 'former president'.
In conclusion, we can say this; Al Bashir never conceals desire as being called, 'the former president'. That since the presidential elections of 2010 and 2015 respectively, such feelings of deserting politics dominates him holistically. That because of pressure from everywhere hugely, he succumbs unwillingly. That he  constitutes not only the good guarantor of cohesiveness of NCP, but the whole country as well.
