Small and Decentralized Wastewater Systems in Khartoum State

It is now recognized that complete sewerage system for a large urban community may never be possible or desirable for geographical, economic and sustainable reasons. Therefore, decentralized wastewater management becomes of great importance to the future management of the environment.
The case of Khartoum State where only about (5-7)% of the population are served by conventional sewerage system is a typical situation for introducing application of decentralized wastewater systems.
