Khartoum Cleaning Campaign and Nelson Mandela International Day
Khartoum - Once again! We find Khartoum cleaning campaign in a different place doing the same treasure goal of making our Khartoum even cleaner and more beautiful.
Khartoum cleaning campaign has arranged another cleaning awareness campaign this past Friday 18th of July at the green square.
The campaign included awareness seminars for the people who were at the green square and also included a practical picking up of trashes. The campaign stared after the IFTAR, and those who were part of it were volunteers from: united nation informational center UNIC, Japan international cooperation agency JICA, and UNESCO informational technology chair.
The volunteers asked the visitors of the green square for keeping it clean by collecting their trashes at the trash bags and put it in the baskets away from the green grass. The visitors got highly activated with this event, even some of them participated at picking up of trashes.
This activity came on the same day that the united nation has approved it to be an international day for the birth of the great leader Nelson Mandela which is 18th July of every year. United nation invited the volunteers of the day to spend 67 minutes serving the society appreciating the 67 years of Mandela's life that he lived serving humanity and fighting racism. And the Khartoum cleaning campaign took the day for cleaning.
After the campaign, MTN Company hosted the volunteers of the campaign and their partners at a competition, and the visitors have answered environmental questions and questions that included Mandela's life. And MTN Company handled the awards.
From here I would like to thank Nelson Mandela for doing such a great job at his life, and his memory will always stay in our hearts. I would like to thank Khartoum cleaning campaign for continuing their job at cleaning despite all of the difficulties, and that's what I was saying at my article about making seminars at cleaning, they started from here hopefully to continue this even out of Khartoum, well done.
I would like to thank united nation for even approving the day of 18th July, it's such a great motivation for everyone. I want to thank everyone at the united nation informational center UNIC, Japan international cooperation agency JICA, and UNESCO informational technology chair, all that found here in Sudan. Also special thank for MTN Company. Thank you all, keep the great jobs going.
