President Al-Bashir Receives Egyptian Premier

Addis Ababa-  Khartuom - President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, Sunday received at Sheraton Hotel, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia the Egyptian Prime Minister, Dr. Hisham Qandil.
 
The Egyptian Premier said in a statement to SUNA, after the meeting, that he discussed with the President of the Republic means of boosting the Sudanese- Egyptian relations, particularly the economic and financial aspects as well as roads.

Dr. Qandil explained that the two sides agreed to inaugurate the ground road linking Sudan and Egypt during the current month. He also revealed the agreement of the two sides on a visit to Sudan by an Egyptian delegation, to be chaired by the Premier, including Egyptian Businessmen to discuss and to push forward exportation of Sudanese meat to Egypt as well as supporting g agriculture in Sudan.

The Egyptian Prime Minister added that his meeting with President Al-Bashir touched on the opening of a branch of the National Bank of Egypt in Sudan, saying that it would help the Egyptian Investors in pushing forward the cycle of development in Sudan.
 
It is to be noted that the meeting came after the end of the funeral ceremony of the late Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi, which was attended by President of the Republic among other 20 Presidents and other Heads of Governments.

President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer l-Bashir made an address during the funeral ceremony of late Meles Zenawi, highlighting the relations linking Sudan and Ethiopia in all domains.

Meanwhile, Sudan's Ambassador to Ethiopia, Abdul Rahman Sir Al-Khatim, said the participation and statement of President Al-Bashir had left a good echo by the Ethiopian Government and People, particularly after dispatching a high-level Sudanese delegation, headed by Minister of Defence, to receive the body of the late Premier upon arrival in Addis Ababa.
