Ahli Shendi beats Interclub of Angola (1/0)

Within the competition of the CAF the Sudanese team Ahli of Shendi managed to achieve a historical win when it beat Interclub of Angola in the first leg which took place in Angola. Ahli Shendi scored its goal in minute 84.

In the same competition the other two Sudanese teams Al-Hilal and Al-Merriekh match end with a 1/1 draw in Omdurman.

By this Alhi Shendi has 3 points in two matches, while Al-Hilal and Al-Merriekh have 4 points.

The victory of Ahli Shendi which belongs to Shendi town (some 150 kilometers north of the capital Khartoum) is considered a historical one because it is the first time for the team to participate in the CAF.

It is most probable that two teams from Sudan will go further in the competition after this historical victory of Ahli Shendi.

Sudanese in general and the citizens of Shendi received this good news joyfully as it coincides with Eid Al-Fitr occasion.
