SBEF to Participate in Sudanese- German Economic Forum
Khartoum - The Sudanese Businessmen and Employers Federation (SBEF) will participate in the work of Sudanese- German Economic Forum hosted by the German city of Berlin on the eighteenth of next October.
Secretary General of the Federation, Bakri Yousif said, in a press statement after meeting in his office yesterday, with Ambassador of Federal Republic of Germany in Khartoum, said that he had received an official invitation for private sector participation in the activities of the said forum, in cooperation and coordination with the Arab-German Chamber, with participation of all official bodies on trade, economy and investment in Germany.
He pointed out the importance of convening the said forum at this time, pointing to the importance of participation of the largest Sudanese business delegation in the said forum, noting that it aims at pushing efforts to strengthen and enhance the capacity of the private sector and develop its relations with sectors of business abroad and to contribute in attracting capital and investors to Sudan and to strengthen economic and trade economic cooperation between the two countries.
Bakri tackled the role which has been undertaken by the private sector and the said Union in the fields of economic and social development and to the relations of cooperation and coordination, which he had enjoyed with a number of business organizations in Germany, which contributed to the success of six economic forums in both Sudan and Berlin.
Bakri explained that the meeting confirmed the importance of discussing the ways and mechanisms to stimulate and develop the cooperation relations between businessmen of both countries, especially after the successes that were achieved by German products in the Sudanese market, noting to Germany big contributions in the field of infrastructure and technical and vocational training and other fields.
