Ramadan 2012 Contemplations

This title in which the year 2012 has been indicated is chosen because for some time we used to hear about the start of a new climate pattern. But for us Ramadan is a holy month counted by the new moon until the next. In this way the 12 lunar months of the year will be shorter than the solar one by a third of a month.
This year we have celebrated the start of Ramadan on 20th July and around the same date we may celebrate its end.
Please note that the holy month came at the peak of the rainy season of July and August. This is a time for sowing crops and many agricultural activities.
Within this month we should expect more information about the performance of the rains and the flooding of the River Nile together with its tributaries and the feeders of them.
As we should know Ramadan is the 9th of the lunar year. The last month called the Dul Hijja, being the third after it, is somewhat similar to the Christian December because it witnesses a major celebration.
The celebrations take place on the 10th of the Al-Hijja month that we call it pilgrimage of Muslims to Mecca and Medina of Saudi Arabia.
I expect this Ramadan near its closing for us a new and rare spectacle not known to us before.
As the sun and the moon go together for sunset, it will be in such a position that allow for a full moon to be seen.
However I am not qualified to detail this phenomenon known as the blue moon and I hope that the meteorological department shed more light on it.
