Vice President Directs Attention to Issue of Nomads'Migration Routes

Khartoum - Vice President Dr. Alhaj Adam Yousif directed the Darfur States Nomads Settlement Council to pay a lot of attention to the issue of nomads' paths and pastures.
In the wake of meeting with Vice President Yousif, head of the Darfur States Nomads Settlement Council Air Force General Abd Allah Safi Alnour revealed the efforts the government is exerting to expand pastures on the borders; especially on the borders with South Sudan to ensure the security and safety of the herders; pointing out the procedures the government has applied to prevent the crossing of herders into South Sudan and limit the expansion within Darfur states.
Alnour said: "The meeting with the Vice President focused on the status of the pastures and the nomads in general and in Darfur states in particular." He indicated the good effect the formation of the paths opening committees has created.
Alnour confirmed that the Vice President has promised to provide support and patronage for nomads development and improvement programs especially in the fields of health and education; and to support the council to enable it to perform its duties efficiently.
