South Kordufan Cabinet Holds 10th Session in Delinj

Kadugli -- The government of South Kordufan held its 10th session in the town of Delinj chaired by Staff Lieutenant General Ahmed Khamis during which it discussed a report by the ministry of agriculture on progress of the farming season and future plans for increasing arable area, production and productivity.
The report of the minister of agriculture, Kamal Bala, explained early preparations and good rainfall, promising successful season and high production of sorghum in the state.
The report also cited security tensions that may hinder mobility of farmers in some areas; in addition to clashes between farmers and herdsmen.
The state’s cabinet ordered intensifying activities in secure agricultural regions, and called for taking care of gardens within the ministry’s plan to benefit from great characteristics of this sector in the state.
Separately, the cabinet listened to another report by the minister of development of human resources, Abdallah al-Tom al-Emam on ways of providing opportunities for the youth desiring for work to absorb them in government institutions thus a need for creating new ways to provide opportunities for employing these young men and women through transformative training and micro finance programs.
