NCP: We Do Not Recognize SPLM-N
Khartoum – Sudan's National Congress Party (NCP) announced it would not recognize the SPLM-N.
NCP Deputy Secretary of Information, Yasir Yousuf, speaking to reporters yesterday following a meeting of the NCP Political Sector chaired by Vice President Al Haj Adam said the ongoing negotiations in Addis Ababa are with the people of the Blue Nile and South Kordofan not with the SPLM-N.
Yasir explained that addressing the security file and other outstanding issues is condition for signing the oil deal, hoping that the understandings reached on oil would pave the way for resolving other issues.
He said the Sudanese delegation convinced the mediation on the necessity of separation between the security and political tracks concerning the dossier of the two areas but agreed to the need for survey to assess humanitarian needs in the two areas.
