Khartoum: Presidential Assistant Abd Alrahman Alsadig Almahdi confirmed government's attention to render the negotiations with South Sudan a success, pointing out that the government's course of action is to seek serious and continued dialogue with South Sudan to reach an agreement that is satisfactory to both sides as well as preventive of involvement in confrontations with one another.
Addressing Ansar Alsuna's annual iftar at their general headquarters in Sajana he said the high committee for economic arrangements implementation's decision to cancel the increment in electricity tariff comes in line with responding to citizens' demands and easing their suffering.
Almahdi called on all Islamist groups to come together in order to create a Sudan that is inclusive to everyone. He described the deeds of Ansar Alsuna as good ones for the sake of Allah; pointing out that the society's (Ansar Alsuna's) fingerprints are stark clear everywhere especially in the field of activating charity and philanthropy in the Sudanese community in addition to promoting Islamic propagation and guidance.
Governor of Khartoum state Abd Alrahman Alkhidir for his part confirmed his government's commitment to bridge the gap between Islamic groups and uniting them to overcome disagreements; indicating that the Sudanese society is in need for all efforts targeting cohesion and commending Ansar Alsuna's quest for creating interrelations and connections among the different components of the Sudanese society particularly during the month of Ramadan.
Genereal Chief of Ansar Alsuna Dr. Ismail Osman Mohammed Almahi commended the economic measures taken by the government of Khartoum state and its success in distributing the sugar commodity; an effort that was met by approval on the citizens' part. He called for applying more economic measures to ease the suffering of the citizens and criticizing the decision according to which electricity tariff was raised saying it has had a negative effect on the citizens' morale. He on the other hand commended the cancellation of the increment which he described as incompatible with spirit of the month of Ramadan and against the values of benevolence and compassion.
During his speech Dr. Ismail went into the goals of the Ansar Alsuna's propagation saying they are meant to achieve and strengthen the values of solidarity and compassion among the members of the Sudanese society as well as promoting the values of goodwill propagation besides discarding violence, bluntness, and crudity in delivering advice; explaining that the Ansar Alsuna society has cultivated intimate relations with the Sudanese society based on dialogue and discourse.
Dr. Almahi revealed that his society sponsors more than 7 thousand orphans from all the parts of Sudan and from all tribes and regions; pointing out that the sponsorship's monetary value during the month of Ramadan and after exceeds SDG 5 Million. He added: "We cover the financial overhead of 2 thousand mosques in Sudan; and the same goes for hundreds of the elderly, senior citizens, and Islamic propagators."
Almahi said that solidarity and compassion coupled with sincere reliance and faith in Allah are bound to eradicate plight and expensiveness and lift them off of the shoulders of the people, calling for more efforts to strengthen people's relations with one another and instilling affinity among them.
It is worth mentioning that during the ceremony sponsorship forms for orphans from all the states were handed out.
