Khartoum State Announces Continuation in Providing Food Stuff through the Reduced Sale Points
Khartoum - The Minister of Finance, Economy and Consumer Affairs in Khartoum State, Engineer Sidiq Mohammed Ali Al-Sheikh has underlined continuation of his ministry in the provision of food and consumer goods directly from producers to the consumers besides the work to prevent intermediaries in the production process to minimize the cost.
He said when he chaired Thursday the meeting of the Directors of the Administrations of the Sector of Economy and Consumer Affairs that the necessary goods flow directly from the suppliers to the targeted consumer through the gates of Al-Khair Markets for reduced sales.
The Minister gave directives to directors of the administrations to inspect the markets of the state on the ground to address the drawbacks, to prevent the greed of merchants, to ensure implementation of the Code of Commerce and Consumer Protection, which was passed recently to protect citizens.
The Director of the Sector of Economy and Consumer Affairs, Dr. Adel Abdul-Aziz, announced the outset of Al-Khair Markets at the localities of Omdurman, Karari and Ombadda on Saturday, the ninth of the holy month of Ramadan at broad participation of the factories, farms of poultry production, red meat, eggs and vegetables as well as manufactured goods, oil, sugar and powdered milk through mobilization of large crowd of factory owners.
