Blue Nile state Asks for Extension of Popular Consultation for Six Months
Ad-Damazin: Blue Nile state intends to petition the presidency of the Republic to extend Popular Consultation (PC) for another six months to have enough time to complete some of the arrangements regarding Popular Consultation in the state.
Head of the Parliamentary Popular Consultation Commission in Blue Nile state Siraj Aldin Hamad Atta Almannan said in a statement to (smc) that the commission intends to submit a comprehensive report about all the stages of the proceedings of the Popular Consultation in the state, explaining that the report explains all the steps taken in all the stages in the state. He confirmed that in the wake of the recent rebellion some of the commission's members left the commission and now the membership of the commission has been restored anew.
Siraj Aldin clarified that they are about to submit a formal petition to the Presidency of the Republic to extend the mandate of the Popular Consultation another six months while maintaining the current procedures of the consultation in motion.
Siraj told smc that the Presidency of the Republic has formerly agreed to an earlier six months extension requested by the Parliamentary Popular Consultation Commission to extend its operations for six months starting last march.
