Minister of Finance Announces Establishment of Technical Economic Committee

The Minister of Finance and National Economy Ali Mahmoud has announced formation of mini economic committee to review the macroeconomic policies and develop a clear vision towards a strategy to restore equilibrium in the public finance and external sector by setting a package of policies including fiscal and monetary policies, external sector policies and real sector policies.
He said that the committee would be concerned with realization of economic stability and sustainability of economic development, pointing out that the task of the committee will be based on development of full envisagement of Sudan economy. The committee will be constant one to follow up the macroeconomic situation and suggest policies.
The minister explained that the work of the committee related to the concerned ministries as well as the follow up of implementation of the outcomes of the three-year program at the level of industrial and agricultural sectors with the sectoral ministries and other circles in order to be detailed in a form of projects to be scheduled in measurable quantities besides the review of economic policies and measures which have adopted in 2012 to fill the budget deficit and external balance.
The members of the committee included the Ministry of Finance, Central Bank of Sudan, ministries of economic sectors and some economic experts and professors of the universities.
