Abu Bakr: Turkish Investments in Productive Sector in Sudan Reaches $ 2 Billion
Khartoum - The Sudan Economic Consultant in Turkey Abu Bakr Mohamed Al-Fateh has disclosed that the Turkish investments in Sudan totaled 2 billion dollars.
Al-Fateh announced that the biggest field for investment in gold in Dalgo area in the Northern state would be opened, explaining that the Sudan economic consultancy in Turkey has been exerting ample efforts to attract Turkish investments in the domains of sugar beet cultivation particularly in the Northern and River Nile States.
He said that the Turkish government has been given directives, following the visit of the Deputy Prime Minister Ali Baba Jan to Sudan recently, to establish joint projects in the productive sector by concentration on agricultural and animal fields.
The consultant pointed out that a Turkish delegation was sent to conduct necessary studies in three sites in western Omdurman, Gezira and Meroe, adding that the delegation is now in the stage of results assessment.
