FVP Directs Government Authorities to Abide by Regulations and Laws of Tax Collection
Khartoum - First Vice President (FVP) Ali Osman Mohammed Taha directed all government authorities to abide by the regulations, laws, and tax procedures to enable the Taxation Chamber to enhance collection rates and reaching the specified lot, confirming that the country functions according to an Islamic project and the taxation officers must harmonize the Islamic system and the theories of different economic schools.
Upon addressing the enlightening training program of the new taxation employees, Taha said that all laws and legislations in all countries aim at earning legitimate funds and increasing resources in favor of balancing the treasury. The program was organized by the General Taxation Chamber in collaboration with the Customs Authority under the emblem of (Taxation Chamber and Customs Authority: Dedication, Law, Justice, Equality, and fulfillment).
He demanded that mechanisms be formulated according to the rule of (Neither afflict harm on oneself nor others) and to collect taxes in such an amount that vivifies the society's circulation, since money is by default a property of owners except for Zakat and taxes which are used for the everyone's good in providing security and services and developing the environment. They represent the balance of justice and law and they are returned in form of services to the taxpayers.
He directed the new employees to obtain as much knowledge about their work as possible and to be close to citizens and be part of the society to be able to properly estimate clients' taxes because they –the employees- represent the law and justice in this capacity, therefore their professional conduct must be shrouded in credibility.
He directed the management of the Taxation Chamber to renew tax sources in such a way that copes with variations, commending the role of the Taxation Chamber and the Customs Authority in achieving the specified lot which helped the modified budget to be applied smoothly.
He stressed the importance of enhancing the work environment and stimulating the economic process to enable new individuals to enter the business field, a thing that would in turn lead to increasing tax collection.
