The three-day conference (10-13) convenes under the slogan of (Peace Unity Development) , that emanated from Doha Document for Peace in Darfur(DDPD) that was signed last year between the government and the Liberation and Justice Movement.

Development is a vital and fundamental topic in (DDPD), where provides for allocating big amounts of funds to develop the region.

The national outlook expressed on the plan people of Sudan are eager that the conference will exert more efforts to spread peace in the openhanded region Darfur and to return in participating strongly in supporting the National Economy specially in this critical economic situation, which country is facing in recent period.
On the other hand the international community which, decided to adopt Doha Forum as the latest forum of peace, expected a remarkable success of the conference. It asserted that the world community represented by the United Nations (UN), The African Union (AU), the Arab League, the Europe Union and the sponsor states to DDPD are supporting peace and development in the region through implementation of the peace agreements.
It expected that the conference will include a great and high level of international participation, where the invitations covered the states and organizations, which are concerned with peace in the region. In particular the conference is a fulcrum to the donors’ conference that will be convened in coming December.
The holding of the conference affirms the strong will of the people in Darfur to contribute in achieving peace and stability to the region. As it is expected; that all sectors of the Darfur societies, the political parties, the civil societies organizations will involve in the conference in addition to the leaders of the civil administration.
The conference will tackle some papers on topics of “reconstruction, development and stability of the nomads, the security threats, justice, and reconciliation, the voluntary return", and the Civil Administration and uses of lands’, in addition to other important topics.
The indicator of success this conference depends on adopting real and executable decisions to be able accomplished by the government and to be without any new financial burdens regarding to the economic conditions of the country.
Is it possible to the conference of the people of Darfur cross the tunnel to achieve the harmonization and consensus on peace and unity? Or it will add to the other conference that had been held before but achieved nothing in reality life of Darfur people. Let us wait and hope to get positive results from this conference.
