Focus :Political Theft in Broad Daylight
Modified from article in Intibaha Arabic paper dated 30/6/2012: The Umma party and the fragile opposing political organizations try to practice theft in broad daylight. Demonstrations incited by Umma party remain a manifestation of the chickens of Umma political violence coming home to roost. They don’t steal the so-called Sudanese Revolution claimed to be (according to them) Sudanese version of Arab Spring, but they tend to steal awareness and feelings of certain citizens who don’t know the recent political history. We need not state that the Umma Party is an out –of-the wed-lock child of imperialism. In her sixtieth anniversary, Al-Rayalam Arabic paper published names of freedom prisoners (strugglers against British colonization in Sudan)-,and not surprisingly, none of them pertains to the Umma party .They try to lead an uprising that might bring them back to the chairs they used to stick to without guidance or Enlightenment Book. Protests taking place against hike in fuel prices remain normal and expected. Any policy of austerity is rejected everywhere, and demonstrations expressing objections are legal and remain a sign of a healthy society. Nonetheless, exploiting the situation to carry out political agenda to dethrone the government is childish, referring to ideological bankruptcy of the opposition. The hike in fuel prices is now a fact that cannot be retreated from for obvious reasons.
Fooling the public is a practice mastered by communists and Umma party. But the political itinerant vendors forget that their commodity is obsolete and doesn’t comply with specifications and quality control measures : protesting against hike in prices has nothing to do with unseating the government, moreover the opposition failed to propose her program to solve the economical problem emanating from absence of fuel proceeds after separation of the South , poor policies of the Minister of Finance that failed to invest fuel proceeds in sustainable projects with permanent profits, along with flabbiness of the governmental body. People have every right to protest against any policy, and on the other hand the opposition has every right to protest or reject or even to dethrone the government through peaceful means and thoroughly studied economic programs, while fishing in troubled waters is certainly quite unacceptable. But these parties, leaders and hopeful ministers vomit their desires in false slogans amid chants of simple protestors.
It is extremely amazing that the Umma Party, blown up like a Turkey, believes it can mobilize the street ignoring that it was the sole party participating in the National Assembly created by the British to abort the call for independence. The Umma party is the farthest in its black history from leading or even participating in revolutions. When patriots call for revolution the Umma party resorts to hibernation and hides in black holes issuing void of text demagogue statements. It was always opportunist in the back seats during October 1964, and April 1985. The same, however, is done by bloodthirsty leftists on whom the sun has set, like the so -called Bolshevik revolution after the collapse of the Soviet Union due to the ideological bankruptcy of communism.
