Tight Security Measures Taken as Darfur People Conference Approaches

El Fasher - Government of Northern Darfur State has increased security preparations for the launch of Darfur people conference to be held in El Fasher next Tuesday.

Spokesman for the state government, Zubaydah Suleiman confirmed completion of all administrative and technical arrangements to host local and foreign delegations, noting that there is a wide deployment of the organized troops inside and outside the state to provide security and necessary protection during the conference.
She pointed out that the said conference, which will be held with the participation of (1000) people from inside and outside the country, will review 5 working papers dealing with various important issues relevant to Darfur region and the Doha Document for Peace in Darfur (DDPD).
