Return of 1200 Families to Their Areas in South Darfur
Mershing: South Darfur government revealed that 1200 families returned to a number of villages in Mershing and Buram Localities within the framework of the voluntary return program.
Mayor of Mershing locality Abdelrahman Hassan Gardod said in statement to SMC that the state Ministry of Health and the Armed Forces have coordinated to rehabilitate the health center in the locality and provide it with medications and medical equipment to enable it to provide medical services for the returning families in Shataya, and Kayleek, and Buram, disclosing that arrangements have been taken this month to attract governmental and charitable support to complete the construction of service institutions in the locality.
For his part, the mayor of Alradoom locality Abdu Al-Sadig Ali said in a press release to SMC that the state government has provided the essential requirements of stability for the returnee families in Kifin Dibi and Kafiya Kingi, these requirements included agricultural equipment and medication supplies. He confirmed that the security status is stable in the mentioned areas in the wake of the attacks recently launched by the remnants of the revolutionary front forces.
