Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood Leader: We will Provide Model of Ties between Peoples of the Nile Valley
Cairo - Sudan's Ambassador to Cairo, Dr. Kamal Hassan Ali met yesterday with Dr. Mohamed Badie, leader of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, where he congratulated him on the results of presidential elections and the victory of Dr. Mohamed Morsi.
The Ambassador said that he was carrying congratulation and blessing of the President of the Republic, Field Marshal Omer Al-Bashir, government officials and the Sudanese people of this great victory of electing the first president of Egypt, describing it as victory for the Arab and Islamic nation, as Egypt is the leader of this nation.
(We are waiting for the start of relations between Sudan and Egypt to larger prospects, the Ambassador said, adding that the two peoples are one people in two states and the politics can not separate them forever, pointing out that it was time for convergence in the new situation, reiterating congratulations to the Egyptian people of the said great victory, wishing them success in future days.
For his part, leader of the Muslim Brotherhood expressed his pleasure to receive the Ambassador and the accompanying delegation, saying, (we are aware of the extent of appreciation and respect of the Sudanese people towards us, before saying it with their tongues), adding that the said victory from the God, through free and fair elections, as the world has seen, pointing out that thousands of years passed on Egypt and its people did not choose their own leader one day through freedom and democracy.
"We know that the people of Sudan was happy to choose Dr. Morsi to the presidency of Egypt as the Egyptian people," Badie said, adding that, "the Egyptian people crushed a bad regime that was working every day to cut the bonds of love with the beloved Sudanese people, we are now working to restore relations between the peoples of the Nile Valley as a first step and then pay attention to other issues."
Leader of the Muslim Brotherhood said they would provide a model for the twinning between the peoples of the Nile Valley, as an example of the compatibility of peoples in the Arab and African region, adding that the fruits of the meeting will appear within days, not months.
