Repatriation of 70% of IDPs in South Kordofan
Kadugli – Voluntary Return Commission in South Kordofan revealed the repatriation of 70% of the IDPs to their home villages in the state after the considerable stability witnessed and the return of life to normal.
On his part, Deputy Voluntary Return Commissioner, Khalifa Ibrahim told smc that the state will witness voluntary return from the IDPs to their home villages after the stability of security situations, adding that more than 23 thousand IDPs already returned to Talodi from Alliri locality besides 10 thousand from Abu-Jibeha and 3 thousand from Kalgoi.
He said they started the arrangements to assist the IDPS coming from Khartoum and North Kordofan especially in Rahad, Um Ruwwaba and Shiekan.
He revealed joint arrangements with Humanitarian Assistance Commission (HAC) in the state to provide the food, shelter and clothes to the returnees, affirming that there is coordination with UN and Red Crescent agencies to distribute food to the returnees.
