Sudan Receives Invitation from AUHIP to Resume Negotiations Next Week

Khartoum - Sudan has received an official invitation from the African Union's (AU) High Level Implementation Panel for Sudan, chaired by Thabo Mbeki, for resuming the negotiations with South Sudan State in Addis Ababa next week.

The Foreign Ministry spokesman, Ambassador Al-Obeid Murawah, told SUNA that the negotiations are scheduled to begin on June19 at the Joint Borders Committee to consider issues presented to the two parties so as to refer the observations and recommendations to the governments of the two countries.
He said that the talks of the Joint Political, Military and Security Committee are due start on current June 21.
