Minister of Petroleum Welcomes Russian Investments in Oil Field in Sudan

Khartoum - The Minister of Petroleum, Dr. Awad Ahmed Al-Jaz, has welcomed Russia's desire to invest in oil sector in the country.
This came when he received Wednesday a delegation of Russian businessmen in the presence of the Ambassador of Russia to Sudan.
The Russian Ambassador affirmed his country's desire to invest in the various fields in Sudan, announcing the readiness of the Russian companies to invest in oil, minerals and agricultural fields in Sudan, adding that they are seeking to hold partnerships with Sudan.
Dr. Al-Jaz welcomed the cooperation between Sudan and Russia in the oil field, affirming his ministry's determination to expand the oil production through increasing of the oil investments.
The Secretary General of the Ministry of Oil, Engineer Awad Abdul-Fatah, meanwhile, affirmed appropriateness of conditions for entry in oil investments, referring to exposition of new six promising blocks in the domains of oil and gas that are expected to witness signing of successful companies.
He stressed that the investment at the oil field is regarded as attractive for investment.
