Petroleum State Minister Calls for Commitment of Safety Standards in Transporting and Storing of Gas
Khartoum - The State Minister at the Ministry of Petroleum, Engineer Ishag Adam Bashir Jamaa, has affirmed his ministry's keenness to implement all programs of the sub-committee of the union and agents of gas distributors to enable them contribute to the abundance of gas commodity.
The minister said, upon his meeting with the delegation of the chamber headed by its Secretary General Fadl Yassin Fadl at his office Sunday, that the Ministry of Petroleum encouraged utilization of gas commodity and sought to minimize the use of other alternatives, calling the companies, agents and distributors of the gas to abide by the procedures and safety standards in transporting and storing the gas commodity.
He advised the citizens to follow the safety measures when using the gas and storing it particularly in summer season to avoid all mistakes that might emerge due to mal-storage such as fire burning and suffocation, stressing his ministry commitment to provide the gas for citizens.
The Minister urged all companies not to give licenses to agents unless they provide all equipment and safety measures in the location, praising the position of the sub-chamber behind and support of the armed forces and wounded of Heglig war.
