Government of Sudan Affirms Commitment to Realize Peace with South Sudan

Khartoum - The government of Sudan has affirmed its commitment and keenness in realizing peace with the South Sudan State and it works to build confidence as well as its readiness to negotiate with an open mind to reach solutions for all issues of differences.

Following his meeting, Thursday, at his office, with the Italian envoy for the humanitarian Emergency Affairs, Ms. Margarita Boone, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador, Rahmatallah Mohammed Osman, has expressed hope that the current peace talks in Addis Ababa would achieve positive progress.
The meeting between the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Italian envoy for the humanitarian Emergency Affairs tackled relations between Sudan and South Sudan in the wake of the resumption of the peace talks in Addis Ababa, where the Italian representative has asserted keenness of her country in particular and the international community in general to ensure success of the negotiations in resolving the issues of differences and removing the obstacles hindering the development of the relations between the two countries.
The meeting also discussed the strengthening and enhancing bilateral relations between Sudan and Italy in the economic co operation field, they expressed desires to realize more development and cooperation serving the two peoples.
