SSWA to Launch Medical Convoy to White Nile State
Khartoum -The Secretariat of Sudanese Working Abroad (SSWA) in cooperation with Sudanese community working at Eastern District of Saudi Arabia launches medical convoy to White Nile State.
Addressing the press conference conducted at the secretariat premises yesterday, the Secretary General of SSWA Dr. Karar Al-Touhami stated that the convoy will took one Month starting from today.
Al-Touhami appreciated the role played by the community towards the homeland and he pointed out that the Sudanese Partnership program to transfer knowledge and technology across the Sudanese working abroad aimed at raising capabilities of Sudanese working in different fields of Knowledge.
The chairperson of the community, Prof. Ibn Elwaleed Ali said that the community has launched a medical convoy to Gezira state before three months, stating that the convoy worked on localization of family medicine and emergency and accident medicine, and this convoy will cover kidney diseases by using three Dialysis machines.
He added that the convoy would continue to cover all Sudanese states.
On his part, the coordinator of the convoy Dr. Mohammed Nasr Eldin, pointed out that the main goal of convoy is to train medical staff in White Nile state in laparoscopic surgery and dialysis, stating that four doctors working aboard would join the convoy which headed by Dr. Adil Mahgoub in addition to three doctors working in Kosti Hospital.
He added that they will perform about 50 – 70 surgery operation.
