Sudan Elected Chairman of African Insurance Organization Coming Year

Khartoum: At the conclusion of the 33rd three-day meeting of the African Insurance Organization in the Friendship hall, Sudan was elected chairman for the next year.
The participants in the conference seconded the suggestion of the Finance Minister regarding the establishment of an African insurance institute in Sudan, calling at the same time on the African reinsurance companies to open branches or special windows for insurance and reinsurance in African countries.
The participants in the conference affirmed that est6ablishing the African insurance compound aims at preventing war hazards and repercussions. They agreed on holding the fortieth conference of the organization in Egypt and celebrating its anniversary in Mauritius on December 30th this year.
It is mentioning that the presidency of the African Insurance Union (AIU) was transferred from Zambia to Sudan, where Hassan Alsayied Ahmed, head of the Sudanese Insurance and Reinsurance Companies Association will assume the presidency of the AIU.
