Kibir Receives Malaysian Ambassador and Lauds Malaysian Support to Sudan
Al-Fasher - The Wali (governor) of North Darfur State, Osman Mohamed Yousif Kibir, has appreciated the firm ties between the Sudanese and Malaysian peoples and the support provided by Malaysia to Sudan at the international forums concerning Darfur issue.
This came when Kibir received Tuesday at his office in Al-Fasher city the Ambassador of Malaysia to Sudan, Mohamed Ashri Moda.
Kibir affirmed at the meeting the remarkable improvement achieved in the security and humanitarian situation in Darfur region, a matter that contributed effectively to the implementation of development projects and extending services to the citizens.
He said that the movement from the role of delivering relief to implementation of development projects is considered the best means for addressing Darfur issue seriously.
Meanwhile, the Ambassador of Malaysia indicated that he is visiting North Darfur State to be informed on the performance of the Malaysian mission operating within the UNAMID and the general situation in the state.
He affirmed the keenness of Malaysia to consolidate further its relations with Sudan, appreciating the government efforts for realizing peace and stability.
