Consumer Court Calls for Unified Law for Consumer Protection

Khartoum- Chairman of the Consumer Protection Prosecution Office, Mohamed Al-Mustafa Musa, has called for integrating all the laws pertinent to the consumer protection in a unified act to simplify the application.
He disclosed existence of more than 30 state and federal laws that are now being applied.
Musa affirmed the importance of coordination between the concerned bodies in the consumer's protection to avoid obstacle in the application and to come out with a good enforcement of the law, stressing the need to establish a subsidiary courts to protect the consumer in all localities.
Representative of the Consumer Protection's Police, Maj. Gen. (Police) Badr-Eddin Amin, praised the efforts of Khartoum State for establishment of the Ministry of Economic Development and Consumer Protection.
