Vice President, DUP Leader Discuss Status Quo

Khartoum - Vice President of the Republic and Chairman of the Political Sector at the National Congress, Dr. Al-Haj Adam, Tuesday evening met with the Leader of the Democratic Unionist Party (mainstream), Mohamed Osman Al-Mirghani, at the house of Al-Mirghani in Khartoum North.
In a statement to SUNA, the Secretary of the Political Secretariat at the National Congress, Hassabu Mohamed Abdul-Rahman, said that the meeting came in the context of the continuous contacts between the two parties to discuss the national basic issues and to boost the partnership between them.
He said that the two parties agreed on continuation of meetings of their joint committees to discuss joint issues.
The Cabinet Affairs Minister and member of the Leadership Council of the Democratic Unionist Party, Dr. Ahmed Saad Omer, said that the meeting tackled current national issues, including the aggression on Heglig and the victory scored by the Armed Forces and means of implementing programs to confront the challenges.
