Sudanese Journalists Union Describes UNSC Resolution as New Aggression against Sudan
Khartoum - The General Union of Sudanese Journalists described the new resolution to resume negotiations between Sudan and South Sudan unconditionally by UNSC as a violation of Sudanese sovereignty, confirming that the decision represents a new aggression against Sudan and constitutes a threat to its future and security, and it deemed the resolution as catastrophic. The union explained that the resolution has placed the aggressor and the victim at the same level, a step by which it destroyed the pillars of international security and offered the aggressor yet another chance to resume its attacks against Sudan.
The General Union of Sudanese Journalists confirmed in its release in World Press Freedom Day that Sudan's freedom and sovereignty became threatened by this resolution, calling upon all free journalists in the world to support Sudan, explaining that Sudan has shown its cooperation with the international community and signed the Comprehensive Peace Agreement, but its stability has now become threatened by the sponsors of peace themselves.
