Khartoum – Foreign Minister, Ali Karti, is expected to arrive in Moscow tomorrow to discuss with his Russian counterpart, Sergei Lavrov, ways and means to normalize relations between Khartoum and Juba.
“Talks between the two Foreign Ministers will focus on ways to prevent escalation of tension in relations between Khartoum and Juba and the need to return to the negotiation table based on statement of the UNSC President of 12 April to restore good neighborliness and cooperation between the two countries” a source at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told reporters.
According to the source, the two sides will exchange views on a range of pressing issues including developments in the Middle East and North Africa besides bilateral relations and horizons for their further improvement.
