Workshop on Early Preparation to Combat Meningitis

El Fasher - A workshop on quick response tactics and early preparation to combat Meningitis was held in El Fasher by the epidemiology directorate in the Ministry of Health in North Darfur and in cooperation with World Health Organization (WHO). Thirty health cadres working in the epidemics prevention field were trained in the workshop.
Abu Alabas Abd Allah Altayeeb, Minister of Health in North Darfur state, confirmed his Ministry's commitment to provide proper health, medical, and therapeutic services to all citizens statewide, all in an effort to create healthy disease-free society. He mentioned that this workshop is in line with the other precautions and early preparations taken by his Ministry to combat summer diseases. He commended the role played by the health cadres and the workers in the health field and their partners in preventing and combating the epidemic diseases that break out in summer.
The Basic Health Care directorate manager, director of preventive medicine, representative of the Epidemiology directorate in the Federal Ministry of Health, and director of the World Health Organization (WHO) spoke at the workshop reminding the participants that the workshop's goal is to provide training in the field of quick response tactics and early preparation to combat summer diseases especially Meningitis. They urged the participants in the course to extract maximum benefits from it and to report any Meningitis-related cases.
