970 of Small Projects of Northern and Southern Kordofan Win Access to Finance

Al-Obeid city, capital of Northern Kordofan State, has witnessed the awards ceremony of the projects participating in the competition organized by the Spanish mutual fund and the Sudanese Development Initiative, which aims to create jobs for young people in Sudan.
More than 2375 of young people took part in the contest, where 970 projects were chosen by an independent committee.
The main objective of the said project is to provide prizes for the best 40 projects, while DAL Group has provided an additional 20 grants for winning projects.
The project succeeded to benefit from a partnership with the Microfinance Unit Bank of Sudan and to provide funding for all projects of winning the contest.
The said competition was under the supervision of Northern Kordofan Governor, while there was an independent committee to select the winning projects, which included a number of businessmen, local government and officials from the Spanish Embassy, in addition to civil society organizations.
