Karti Holds Talks with Czech Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister
Khartoum - The Foreign Minister, Ali Ahmed Karti, has held talks with the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Czech, Karel Schwarzenberg, and discussed means of pushing ahead the bilateral relations in the economic and cultural fields.
The Czech official welcomed the visit of Karti and called for consolidating the relations between Sudan and Czech Republic.
He said that the Czech Republic will urge the Czech companies to invest in Sudan; especially that Sudan is bestowed with vast resources.
The two parties underscored the importance of strengthening the cultural relations between Sudan and Czech, exchange of scholarships, implementing programs for antiquities' discovery and protection as well as the cooperation in other fields.
The two sides also affirmed the importance of coordinating stances of the two countries at the international forums.
Karti is due to continue meetings with Czech officials, including the Senate Speaker, Chairman of the Parliament, the Minister of Technology, the Minister of Industry and Chairman of the Businessmen Union.
He would also give a lecture at the International Relations Institute at the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
