Signs of Quantities of Good Quality Oil in South Kordofan: Al-Jaz
Khartoum - The Minister of Oil, Dr. Awad Ahmed Al-Jaz, has announced the existence of signs of considerable quantities of good quality crude oil in South Kordofan State, affirming that the oil would progress in a way much better than before separation of South Sudan.
This came during his inspection visit Tuesday to the works of Star Oil Company at Block (17) in the context of his tour to a number of oil fields in the country.
He hailed the Sudanese experiences and cadres who are working at the different oil sites.
Dr. Al-Jaz also appreciated the role undertaken by the employees and the regular forces that are providing protection and security for communities working at the oil production areas.
The Minister has reiterated the call on the oil companies to operate in Sudan, disclosing that around 60 companies have arrived in Sudan to compete for investment at the declared oil exploration blocks.
Meanwhile, the General Director of Oil Exploration and Production, Dr. Azhari Abdul-Gadir, called on the employees to increase the oil production.
