Al-Turabi : Will He Step Down?

The political destiny of the leader of the Popular Congress Party has become unknown after news that some leaders in the Popular Congress are trying to oust him from his post as the Secretary General.
 
News reported that Al-Turabi is looking for a successor that could implement his agendas after he lost his prestigious political status due to his inconsistent political and thoughtful stances.
In the last period, the Popular Congress has suffered from splits due to the Secretary General polices that made lots of the cadres to defect from the party or resign.
It seems that the man is getting more passion into the power and what he could make this regard. He wanted the security organs to arrest him as he wants to appear as a hero, but the authorities in Khartoum were aware about this plan.
Some attributed the current situation in the Popular Congress to the policies of Al-Turabi as he began to adopt contradictory stances lauding the people he was criticizing. The man wants to make an alliance with the leftist parties he was opposing during his entire political life. He also made an alliance with rebel Justice and Equality Movement in Darfur.
