Governor: Efforts are Ongoing to Protect People and Property in South Darfur

Nyala - The Governor of South Darfur State, Dr. Abdul-Hamid Musa Kasha, has affirmed government keenness to maintain security and to protect lives and property.
Addressing a celebration marking the graduation of the 37th batch of the Police Forces in the state at Nyala Stadium Monday, Dr. Kasha appreciated the role of the Police Forces in keeping security and arresting and pursuing the criminals in accordance with the law.
He called on the citizens of Nyala city to attend the Holy Qoran Festival on December 7 in the presence of the First Vice - President of the Republic, Ali Osman Mohamed Taha.
Meanwhile, the Director of South Darfur State, Maj. Gen. Abdul-Rahman Al-Tayeb Al-Nurani, announced the graduation of 192 policemen from the movements which have signed Darfur peace agreement.
He said that the state is currently witnessing an unprecedented security situation.
