Authorities: Desperate Sabotage Attempts by Minawi Faction in North Darfur
Al Fashir - Authorities in North Darfur State affirmed that they are closely monitoring desperate attempts by Minawi movement to target the regions of Al-Nagba, south of Asalam Locality and Kalamando led by Dauud Al-Tom and Ali Karbinu.
A state’s government source told Sudanese Media Center (SMC) that concerned security authorities have driven Minawi forces out of the region and that combing operations are ongoing to crack down on any pockets of remnants.
A source close to Minawi Movement revealed to SMC that the movement plans to carry out recruitments inside the refugee camps in Chad, mainly focusing on the camps of Tulum, Mileh, Hadiba, Kareyari under the supervision of commander Mohamedain Arkujuro.
The source stated that the movement resorted to such step after losing its fighters who fell in the hands of the authorities while attempting to sneak into the region of Sanga.
