Editorial: Daniel Kodi Initiative .. Al-Hilu Blockade!

Sudan People's Liberation Movement (SPLM) leading figure, former Deputy Governor of Southern Kordofan, Daniel Kodi held SPLM Northern Sector responsible for the deterioration of the current situation in the state.
Speaking at a press conference in Khartoum, Kodi said that the war is the exploitation of the people of the Nuba Mountains to serve the agenda of parties not related to the region, warning of the adoption of the Northern Sector to the Nuba Mountains file.
Kodi explained that the reasons that Abdul Aziz Al Hilo relied upon for the war in the Southern Kordofan State are unjustified causes, pointing out that Al-Hilo has not exhausted the available opportunities to address the issues peacefully.
Kodi revealed an initiative of the four pivots that are designed to an immediate cease-fire between the two sides, discuss security arrangements and solve some political problems related to the popular consultation People.
However, despite the fact the initiative came late but it still has its significance, as the proverb goes (better later than never).
We believe that the initiative will have its positive effect on the area as it will remove the tensions and the blind loyalties to Al Hilu who was playing in favour of his interests without any considerations to the aspirations of the citizens.
The initiative of Kodi will lead to more isolation of Al-Hilu added to SAF managing to bring stability to the area.
The government will benefit from the initiative if it is dealt with wisely far from considering it as a product of an SPLM leader.
Kodi put the dots over the (I’s) through his recognizing the reality, so it is expected in the upcoming days to see fruitful and useful movements towards bringing an end to the tensions in South Kordofan State.
