We Reject Toppling the Government through Foreign Intervention, Says Nugud
Communist Party Secretary General, Mohammed Ibrahim Nugud surprised the Deputy US Charge d’Affaires by expressing his party’s rejection to any attempt to topple the government through foreign intervention.
Informed source in the Communist party revealed to (smc) about a meeting between the Communist Party Secretary-General and the Deputy Charge d’Affaires in the party’s premises last weekend where the two sides discussed the internal political situation.
Nugud, according the the informed source, told the US official that their tools in opposing the government will not change and are represented by civil disobedience or demonstrations or sit-ins etc., affirming at the same time theircategoricalrejection to topple the government through foreign intervention.
On his part the Deputy Charge d’Affaires considered the military intervention as the remotest option for the US Administration in dealing with Sudan, adding that the US Administration has several problems in such interventions in each of Libya, Afghanistan and Iraq, affirming their cooperation with all the internal political forces to reflect the public opinion through the foreign media.
The informed source pointed out that the meeting was attended by several leading figures in the Communist Party including Siddiq Yusuf.
